Author

Abstract

Any deep reading of literary texts should not only take the whole text into account, but pay attention to socio-cultural context necessary for its production. The present article, primarily examines the outlook which asserts the impossibility of a deconstructive reading of mystical texts; then, through tracing out the mystical elements in Deconstruction which are similar to ideas introduced in Islamic and Jewish mysticism, and also by considering the fact that Derrida himself, took no sides against theocratic and even religious readings of his works, determines the relation between Deconstruction and Mysticism as a macro-narrative
