Causal Relations in Stories Based on Quran Exegesis

Abstract

Narratives related to the life of Prophets are among the significant artistic parts of the Holy Quran because they are creative enough to affect the story telling in Persian Literature. This article, through a kind of comparison between the Quranic narratives and stories based on them tries to find out the mechanism of causal relations in the stories. The study concentrates on the interrelation between the elements of language and content, in order to come to an acceptable understanding of the techniques used in these stories and note the differences between these techniques and the ones used in The Quran. It seems that the interpretive goals of these readings are mostly related to cause/effect relations of events which by its turn have influenced the setting and characterization.
