A number of Gilaki poems are in quantitative meter, but this language did not happen to be a standard dialect; besides its vowel system is not made in a way to express the quantitative meter, and thus the principles of this meter have never had the chance to be standardized in Gilaki dialect. As a result, the verse form for these poems turned to be accentual-syllabic which is the original meter in all Iranian dialects. در این مقاله ابتدا دو نوع وزن عروضی (کمّی) و تکیه‌ای- هجایی در فارسی و گیلکی به صورت تطبیقی بررسی شده، سپس ویژگی‌های ترانه در آنها مورد توجه قرار گرفته است. علاوه بر این، به این نکته نیز اشاره شده است که گویش گیلکی به خاطر نداشتن گونة معیار و به علت ویژگی‌های خاص دستگاه مصوتی آن، اصولاً مناسب وزن عروضی نیست و اشعاری که به وزن عروضی در این گویش سروده شده، اصول شعر عروضی در آنها، معیار یا یک‌دست نشده است و این همه، سبب شده است تا تمام این اشعار عملاً در قالب‌های وزن تکیه‌ای- هجایی، یعنی وزن اصیل و قدیم رایج در تمام گویش‌های ایرانی قرار بگیرند. https://adab.guilan.ac.ir/article_362_07dce50228748cc349f3593de59a485b.pdf
